This illustration, entitled "Jailbird In My Treehouse" is based on a story idea I had about an escaped convict who awkwardly befriends a little chubby loner girl with glasses. She brings him plenty of the red meats that sustains a hardened criminal, and he, in return, provides interesting company and prison-inspired life lessons.

DeleteThis is really adorable, creepy, but adorable! I have so many questions, what medium is this, how did you get the texture in the sky and what is your shadow color?
ReplyDeleteHaha, well thanks. It is a traditional pencil drawing that has been scanned, and colored with Photoshop. The texture is done with a watercolor brush I downloaded, and I changed the scatter settings. I also put in a textured background I found online over the pencil drawing layer, and put the layer setting on multiply. Maybe it sounds more complicated than it is, its pretty simple actually!
