Illustration Friday

Since it was already fresh in my mind, I am submitting my business card image to Illustration Friday under the topic: "Puzzled."

New Business Cards

I finally designed some new business cards, along with a new logo.
Top: front, bottom: back.
I'm just glad I had an excuse to draw more sandwiches.

If anyone feels compelled, please give me some feedback so I can
make it the best it can be before taking it to the printers!

I'm also officially on Twitter: https://twitter.com/#!/Jessica_Warrick

Quote of the Day

I get these inspirational quotes emailed to me everyday, so I thought I'd inject the positivity into the interwebs for all to partake.

Motivational Quote of the Day

"To cultivate kindness is a valuable part of the business of life." Samuel Johnson

Illustration Friday and Meat in a Tree

I'm posting this in Illustration Friday under the theme,"Return."

This illustration, entitled "Jailbird In My Treehouse" is based on a story idea I had about an escaped convict who awkwardly befriends a little chubby loner girl with glasses. She brings him plenty of the red meats that sustains a hardened criminal, and he, in return, provides interesting company and prison-inspired life lessons.

Bored Mermaids

Not much better than being a mermaid with nothing to do.

Another trading card idea:

Illustration Friday

I'm picking up where I left off on the white trash theme I've been obsessed with over the years. Here it is again, revitalized in trading card form...a black and white sketch right now, and also an Illustration Friday submission for the topic: "shades."
