I've learned so much about animals since venturing on this A-Z quest. The xantusia is also known as the dessert night lizard found in desert regions of Mexico. However, contrary to its name, it is active during the day. The xantus, a kind of hummingbird, is also found in Mexico. Didn't think there would be an "X" animal didja? (let alone 2 from the same region) Yay!

My X-Mas card this year features the Chub Brothers - characters that keep ending up in my sketches. They're twins, they're emotionally immature mamma's boys, they don't talk much, they love baseball but refuse to play, and are offspring of a push-over mermaid mother, and a solemn sea captain. They inherited their mother's fish-like qualities, but from the waist up instead.
